Ready to Push Workhsop

  • 23 Egelstraat Eindhoven, Noord-Brabant, 5622 AK Netherlands (map)

The pushing stage is the part of birth most of us are never taught. It can feel like the great unknown, the moment you worry you will not know what to do.

Your body already holds the instinct for it, and your baby knows the way. This workshop helps you meet that moment with understanding instead of fear.

We spend our whole time together on the second stage, the descent and the birth of your baby, so you arrive there ready to work with your body rather than wait to be told what to do.

In our time together you will learn:

  • How your baby moves down and out, and why your position matters at every step

  • Ways to open your pelvis and make space, whether baby is high, mid, or low

  • Spontaneous pushing, and how to follow your body rather than a count

  • Breathing that carries you through, instead of breath-holding that wears you out

  • How to protect your perineum and lower your chance of an episiotomy

  • How to ask for the birth you want, here in the Dutch system where directed pushing is still the default

This is for you if:

  • You are preparing to give birth and the pushing stage feels like a blank space

  • You have been told to hold your breath and bear down, and you sense there is another way

  • You want practical tools, and the words to advocate for yourself on the day

Bring your partner. Much of what we practice is theirs to hold too, and they will leave knowing how to help.

This is a small, in-person, hands-on group. Come in comfortable clothes you can move in.
