We are Julianna Feron and Anna Latham, two expat birthworkers who support you through your pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding journeys.
Hi, I'm Julianna. I've been living in the Netherlands for almost 10 years. I had a hospital birth with my daughter and a home birth with my son.
I'm here to help expat mums-to-be because, when I went through it, I felt alone and struggled to make friends. I was only researching in Hungarian groups where they didn't really know how things work in NL. I could hardly speak Dutch when my daughter was born, and I felt I couldn't express myself or be heard enough. This experience motivated me to become a doula, to support other expats, share my journey, and help you have the birth experience you dream of.
And this community we're building with Anna and with other expat mums? It's the cherry on top. It's the sign you're not alone. A physical moment to connect, support each other in this new life of being pregnant in another country than what you called home. Let's make it home together. ❤️
________
Hi! I’m Anna. I am from the US, and I am a registered nurse, childbirth educator, birth doula, and lactation counselor. I am passionate about supporting expats through their pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding journeys because I was an expat living in Vietnam when I gave birth to my younger daughter. I know how hard it is to navigate an unfamiliar healthcare system (add Covid on top…) and to be far from family. Let’s build a community together so you don’t feel so alone!
